So, is it a recession or not? Is the economy getting better or not? Is the housing market looking better or worse?
With so many varied reports from around the nation, it is hard to make sense of it all. Unfortunately, when watching many news shows, they report overall averages for the country, or maybe just those in their immediate area. When it comes to the housing market, the outlook can vary greatly from state to local markets. In fact, it may even vary from neighborhood to neighborhood. |

It’s gotten to be that you can hardly turn on a television or radio without hearing about the horrible state of our economy and the real estate market. I had lunch with someone last week and they asked where all this doom and gloom really was. They hadn’t really seen much of a difference in their household or lifestyle. Sure, maybe the grocery bill has gone up a bit, and up until recently, buying gasoline was painful at the pump. However, here in Colorado we don’t seem to be seeing quite the hardship being felt by the rest of the country. Sure there are some areas where home sales are sluggish, but there are also areas that are experiencing a “buyers market”. It has been really hit or miss for Colorado, and that is something to be thankful for! |
